WSOPE 2015 Poker Tweets: Boatman's Bracelet, Hellmuth's Quick Exit
October 20, 2015 11:17 amThe 2015 WSOP Europe has now completed eight of its ten scheduled events, with the €25,600 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em still to come, and the €10,450 Main Event currently moving into Day 2. With 186 of the original 313 Main Event entrants still remaining, here are some of the top poker tweets coming from the pros competing at the Spielbank Berlin.
First of all, a huge congratulation to UK pro Barny Boatman for winning a second career WSOP bracelet:
Barny Boatman
“Any mug can win one bracelet…Turns out any mug can win two!
Thanks for all the messages and support. It means everything.”
As John Eames then tweeted ahead of the WSOPE Main Event:
“@barnyboatman Berlin tomorrow. Hundreds of poker players taking a dignified stand against Barny Boatman winning a third fucking bracelet.”
Unfortunately for Boatman he was one of the players to fall on Day 1b, alongside Phil Hellmuth:
“And I’m out of #WSOPE Main Event. Started w 75 big blinds, doesn’t seem possible that I’m out. Rough day, lost some weird weird hands.”
and Jeff Madsen
“busted wsope it’s funny when i think people will fold, ha”
Still in contention, though, are the following players:
Jason Mercier
“Hopped in wsope main event today. Stacked a guy on my first hand have 49k or so from 30k starting. Feeling a deep run here #Yella !”
