July 11, 2015 10:16 amOn Day 3 of the 2015 WSOP Main Event 1,796 hopefuls returned to the action at the Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, but by the end of the day just 661 players remained, with those eliminated in places from 1,000th to 649th receiving a cash payout of $15,000.
Losers
As is traditional, the Main Event’s bubble boy was awarded a $10,000 consolation entry through to next year’s competition, and this year after two players busted out in 1,002nd position, that dubious honor belonged to Roy Daoud who cut the pack and found a Jd to beat Jonas Lauck’s 7c.
