Top Poker Tweets from 2017 WSOP (Week 8)

Top Poker Tweets from 2017 WSOP (Week 8)The 2017 WSOP which got underway at the end of May has now reached its conclusion after Scott Blumstein won this year’s Main Event for a massive $8.15 million. Commenting on the last hand of the tournament, Alen Kessler had his own take on the action, though, and tweeted:
“Does anyone else think Blumstein got rattled by chip count error and imploded with A2 off? < 2-1 chiplead if Ott holds.”
One player who seemed to agree with him was Mike Matusow who responded with:
“Yes told my girl as cards were out that he lost focus and could blow up and shove here! Sometimes you get rewarded! He played great day 3!”
Kevin Taylor, on the other hand, took exception to Kessler’s comment and tweeted:
“Does anyone else think it’s ridiculous that a guy who will never sniff a day 7 in the Main continues to hate on the champion?”
Hellmuth and Akkari Dispute
In the meantime, a twitter spat broke out between 14-times WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth and Brazillian pro Andre Akkari this week, apparently starting after André Akkari criticized Phil Hellmuth for his televison coverage of the WSOP Main Event Final Table. As the conversation went:
Andre Akkari
“So sad to see the biggest bracelet winner @phil_hellmuth so away of the profitable techiniques like this and shame yourself in National Tv.”
Phil Hellmuth
“You have your techniques, tips and tricks, and I have mine: #WhiteMagic! if NLH were JUST math, then I’d reexamine but NLH is ART, and reads.”
Andre Akkari
“Use your #WhiteMagic to respect players & dealers, stop call them idiots & stupids and study poker again. I ld respect u for that! #witness”
Phil Hellmuth
“I haven’t had an issue w a dealer or floor man, or called them a name, in 20 years! And I’ve been working hard on NLHold’em and HORSE games.”
Andre Akkari
“Not true! Nobody told me, I am witness. “Idiot” and “MF” is your regular speech to them. And to the players including me.”
Phil Hellmuth
“I had a meeting w EVERY WSOP floor person, and NOT ONE said I disrespected them, ask Jack Effel. I never MF dealers, you sir, are 100% wrong.”
Andre Akkari
“I m not, but its ok! Try to be a better person, I am always trying the same. I hope u change, ld be good for poker and for u.”
WSOP Hangover
Finally, now that the 2017 WSOP in Las Vegas has finished for another year, players have to now recover from a slight hangover after more than a month and a half of non stop tournament action. Summing up the feeling, Todd Brunson tweeted:
“I’m experiencing post wsop syndrome. Bored, no action; lonely, everyone left town; confused, I now have so many toilets to choose from.”
Likewise, Mike McDonald wrote:
“Now that the WSOP is done, the British Open is over & Segwit passed wtf am I supposed to sweat? Anyone know of a shitty altcoin I can buy?”
