Poker Pro Huck Seed Crowned Winner Of The 2010 WSOP Tournament of Champions

Poker Pro Huck Seed Crowned Winner Of The 2010 WSOP Tournament of ChampionsPoker legend Huck Seed has just won the 2010 WSOP Tournament of Champions, after defeating a field of 27 elite WSOP winners over three days, to take down the prestigious title and the $500,000 first place prize.
The superstars in the competition were chosen by fans to compete in the All-Star type tournament, and the final table finishers included T.J. Cloutier in 9th ($25,000), Annie Duke in 8th ($25,000), Jennifer Harman in 7th ($25,000), Daniel Negreanu in 6th ($25,000), Barry Greenstein in 5th ($25,000), Joe Hachem in 4th ($25,000), Johnny Chan in 3rd ($100,000), and Howard Lederer in 2nd ($250,000).
Commenting on his victory, the much respected and ever modest Huck Seed said: “I really appreciate all the fans voting. This is your victory as well for voting for me.”

Poker legend Huck Seed has been a constant force to be reckoned with in the poker world ever since winning his first tournament back in January 1990. Since then the 41 year-old has carried on in much the same way and with his latest win in the 2010 WSOP Tournament of Champions, takes his live tournament career earnings to an impressive $5,700,000.
As the final day of play got underway in the tournament, the field was reduced to just 17 players with Seed lying second in the overall chip count. He was then able to cruise onto the final table by merely maintaining his stack, after which he started to turn it up a few notches at the final table, eventually getting heads-up with close friend Howard Lederer.
The final hand of the competition came when a short-stacked Lederer was dealt Qc-8c and pushed with his remaining chips against Seed holding As-2s. The board fell 7s-6h-6d-9s-As to hand Seed the title and a whopping $500,000 for his efforts.
Commenting on his runner-up finish, Lederer said; “I’m thrilled with how I played, but very disappointed. I really wanted to win. I don’t think I can play any better than I did today…Huck Seed is a fantastic player. I think he’s under-rated as far as poker history.”
Huck Seed was born in Californian but has been living in Vegas for over ten years. He famously won the WSOP Main Event in 1996, and now has a total of 37 cashes and 4 WSOP bracelets to his credit.
