A few weeks after winning a record fourth WSOP Poker Players Championship Michael Mizrachi is on top of the poker world again after winning the 2025 WSOP Main Event.
Mizrachi outlasted a 9,735-player field to take down the event and claim the $10 million prize along with his eighth career WSOP bracelet. Mizrachi received another honor as well, as he was also unexpectedly inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame following a unanimous vote from Hall of Famers in attendance.
On the final day of the Main Event only four players remained, Mizrachi, John Wasnock, Kenny Hallaert, and Braxton Dunaway. The remaining field was cut in half after just two hands. On the first hand of the day Hallaert was all-in with Ah-Qc and was up against Mizrachi’s Kd-Jd. After the board ran out 10s-5s-4s-Jc-9s, Mizrachi eliminated Hallaert with a pair of Jacks.
On the very next hand Dunaway ended up all-in with 10h-6h. He also faced off against Mizrachi who showed Ad-10d. The board ended up showing Kc-Qd-4d-4s-3d to give Mizrachi a flush and sending Dunaway to the rail in third place.
When heads-up play began between Mizrachi and Wasnock, Mizrachi had a massive chip lead with 419 million chips to Wasnock’s 93.5 million. Wasnock fought back with a few small pot wins, but Mizrachi kept the pressure on and at one point had more than an 11-to-1 chip advantage.
On the final hand of the tournament Wasnock raised from the button with As-9d and Mizrachi called with 10c-3c. The flop was Ad-9c-7c, giving Wasnock two pair and Mizrachi a flush draw. Following checks from both players the turn card was the 4c completing Mizrachi’s flush.
Following a check by Mizrachi, Wasnock bet 10 million. Mizrachi check-raised to 30 million. Wasnock pushed all-in and Mizrachi made a quick call. The river was the 5c and Mizrachi’s flush held on to give him the tournament win. For second place Wasnock received $6 million.
