888 Poker launches Poker After Dark promotion

888 Poker is partnering with Poker Central to give a lucky player the chance to compete with the pros on Poker After Dark.

This is the second year that 888 Poker and Poker Central have partnered on what has been dubbed Poker After Dark 888poker Week II. The best part is that whoever wins the big prize will win it for only $1.

The Poker After Dark 888poker Week II qualifier has a buy-in of only $1. The special tournament will be played on Sunday, April 28 at 8 p.m. GMT. Registration for the tournament is now open. The winner of the tournament will receive a $14,000 prize package and battle the pros in the PokerGo Studio in Las Vegas.

The prize package includes a $10,000 entry into the exclusive Poker After Dark 888poker Week II Sit & Go tournament. The Sit & Go tournament, scheduled for May 21 will feature 888 Poker ambassadors Chris Moorman and Dominik Nitsche as well as three other well-known poker pros.

The winner of the tournament will pocket $40,000, while second place receives $20,000.

Also included in the $14,000 prize package are $2,000 for flights and others expenses to travel to Las Vegas, and accommodations at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The winner will also join Moorman and Nitsche the day before the tournament to tour around Las Vegas.

Last year at the first Poker After Dark 888poker Week Sit & Go tournament, 888 Poker qualifier Otto Richard finished in second place to turn $1 into $20,000. Richard finished second to poker pro, and three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Eli Elezra.
