Following his impressive performance, Tepen later posted a photo of himself with the huge winner’s trophy, and the caption:

Ryan Tepen cashed in his first live tournament back in 2008, and after his recent victory now boasts $747,311 in earnings, to go with the $274,618 he has won online playing under the screen name Tepen69. Tepen’s latest victory also caps off his best year to date, having amassed $275,707 in winnings from 30 tournament cashes throughout 2015.
The $675 RunGood Cup Championship was held at Harrah’s New Orleans in Louisiana, and amongst the better known players finishing in a money spot was Jeff Bryan (44th), Rodney Spriggs (37th), Ray Henson (36th), Will Berry (30th), and Corey Harrison (19th).
On Day 2 of the competition, Tepen entered the final table as the chip leader, and after making a set of eights sent Mike Henrich (A-A) to the rail in 6th ($9,154), before getting lucky once again when his K-Q saw off Patrick Eskandar (A-J) in 5th for $11,769. Next, Tepen eliminated Chris Savage in 4th ($15,573), while three-handed play saw Chris Torres (K-Q) exit the tournament after moving all-in on a K-J-J-x board, only to be called by Tepen holding J-4.
Finally, Ryan Tepen faced Tim Woodson heads-up for the title, but his 8 to 1 chip lead proved too commanding for Woodson who was dealt with in quick time and subsequently had to be satisfied with a runner-up finish worth $33,763, while Ryan Tepen was crowned the champion.
