PokerStars Sunday Million Victory Nets "orionrg" An Impressive $255,429

PokerStars’ flagship tournament the ‘Sunday Million’ managed to attract an impressive 10,077 hopefuls, all willing to fork out the $215 buy-in for a chance of taking home a slice of the $1.5 million guarantee prize pool.
Despite being way off last week’s 4 year milestone celebration record of 36,169 players, this Sunday’s figure was still above the typical 8,000 to 9,000 competitors the tournament manages to attract each week, and pushed the guaranteed prize pool up to $2,015,400.
The tournament got started at 3:30 pm CST and around four hours later the bubble had burst ensuring that all the remaining players would at least have their entry fees covered.
By the tenth hour the tournament had reached the hand-for-hand stage whereby one more elimination was necessary to get the final table action underway. One time chip leader SoulMaster7 then decided to push all-in pre-flop with his remaining 3,139,598 in chips holding Ks 6d, only to run into ronaldgraue with Ad Qs, who spiked his A on the flop to knock the bubble boy out in tenth for a $10,077.00 pay-day.
As the final table got started, the 200,000/400,000 and a 40,000 ante ensured the short stacks wouldn’t be hanging around patiently for too long. However, 3rd chip leader villepn was the short stack’s nemesis and he first knocked out blue2two in ninth ($13,704.72), whose Qd Jh shove was looked up by villepn with Ad Qc. Next was the turn of sharky2323 who collected $20,154.00 in eighth after pushing with Ks 10s against a badly dominating Kh Qd.
After G.C.King fell in seventh ($40,308) it was villepn whose tournament came to an end next, as he exited in sixth and collected $60,462. Unusual for the Sunday Million final table, the players continued dropping like flies with ronaldgrauer out in fifth for $80,616 and Relhok soon after in fourth for $100,770.
The remaining three players failed to finalise a chop deal after chip leader dean23price had his sites firmly set on the top prize. When play did finally resume, he eliminated mad.afurable in third ($145,108.80), who went all in pre-flop holding Ac 9s against dean23price with As 2h but lost when the board fell 2d Ah 8s 3s 7s.
After striking a deal where dean23price with 57,817,674 in chip would receive $232,302.46 and orionrg with 42,952,326 in chips would take $225,429.56, they then played for the remaining $30,000 in change.
Eventually, the final hand saw both players going all-in pre-flop with dean23price and pocket 9’s way ahead of orionrg’s  pocket 7’s. However, a 7 on the flop sealed the deal and it was orionrg who was declared the winner and walked away with a memorable $255,429.56 in winnings.
