February 19, 2016 11:21 amA total of 613 players entered the $1,675 WSOPC West Palm Beach Main Event to create a prize pool worth $919,500. Three days later, and it would be seasoned pro Mukul Pahuja who would eventually triumph over the field to claim a second career WSOPC Main Event title, as well as the tournament’s $193,095 first place prize.

Mukul Pahuja subsequently entered the final table of nine as the fourth biggest stack, but after he eliminated Dalton Mills (4th), and Eric Bunch (3rd), Pahuja then started the heads-up phase of the competition holding a commanding 3-to-1 chip lead over Adam Levy.
Not long later, the deciding hand was played with Levy reraising all-in holding A-6, only to be called by Pahuja with pocket tens. The 8-3-2-8-3 board which ensued sealed the deal, and so Adam Levy collected $119,434 for his runner-up finish, while Mukul Pahuja was crowned the 2016 WSOPC West Palm Beach champion. Commenting later on his victory, Pahuja said:
“[The final table] had some pros but the guys that didn’t have much tournament earnings were really tricky and really tough. They clearly played cash games and provided different challenges that I’m not used to seeing everyday playing tournaments.”
