An hour and a quarter later, YugiohPro departed in 9th ($4,914) after going broke (A-J) on a A-7-4-9 board against pistons87’s two pair (A-9). He was followed by raare01 in 8th ($8,599) in a battle of the blinds which saw him (A-8) call djk123’s (6-9) small-blind shove only for the board to fall 7-6-9-A-6.
A pre-flop battle then saw Dan “djk123” Kelly (J-J) take out kripap (A-Q) in 5th ($23,341) to propel himself into a commanding chip lead (10m), with his nearest rival on just 3 million chips.
Wasting no time, Dan “djk123” Kelly (A-4) scored a double-elimination of matt20 (Qd-Jd) and Blackbeaty (J-J) on an A-4-3-T-9 board to enter the heads-up phase of the competition against Canadian pistons87. Despite an incredible battle in which pistons87 managed to overcome a huge chip disadvantage to draw even, the winner was eventually settled in a cooler of a hand in which pistons87 (5-3) and Dan “djk123” Kelly (A-5) went all-in on an 8-5-5 flop.
The 10-K turn and river sealed pistons87’s fate who then went away richer by $66,542 (after a two-way deal), while Kelly captured a SCOOP title too go with his 3 WCOOP titles. The WSOP bracelet winner has now earned $5,376,622 playing tournaments online, to go with his $2,219,790 won in the live arena.
