Anthony Gregg Wins WPT Parx Open Poker Classic

Anthony Gregg Wins WPT Parx Open Poker Classic Anthony Gregg has won the WPT Parx Open Poker Classic, after defeating a field of 500 players over five days to lift the title, and collect the $416,127 first place prize.
With his victory Anthony Gregg now takes his live tournament earnings to $2,804,730, and commenting on his success at the Parx Casino in Bensalem near Philadelphia, said: “It feels amazing. I’ve played so many live tournaments and I’ve come close a bunch of times and just come up short. I’ve always wanted that feeling of actually winning because it just feels so much better than getting second or any other place. The money is always nice, but the title is good too, knowing that you beat everyone.”
By the time the final table had been set at the $3,500 buy-in tournament, taking their seats at the six-man table were top pros Tony Gregg,  Stephen “sizzlinbetta” Reynolds, Chris “genius28” Lee and Larry “BBOY3310” Sharp, as well as Andre Nyffeler and Chris Vandeursen.
First to exit was Andre Nyffeler in 6th ($61,619), whose pocket tens fell to the A-K of Larry Sharp, followed by Chris Vandeursen in 5th ($76,824), holding A-6 to the A-K of Chris Lee. It was then Larry Sharp’s time to bid goodbye after shoving his Ad-Jd preflop into the Kh-Qh of Stephen Reynolds. Unfortunately for him, the board rolled out Ah-Jc-9c-7h-4h and so Sharp exited in 4th place for $108,034.
Finally, Chris Lee (A-J) preflop shoved into the A-Q of Reynolds, and after he was eliminated in 3rd ($158,450) the heads-up phase of the competition got underway between Reynolds and Gregg.
At this stage, Reynolds held a 2-1 chip advantage but soon after briefly facing elimination, Gregg was able to push ahead into a lead before the final hand was played when Reynolds shoved his A-4 into the Gregg’s K-9. With the board falling K-Q-7-Q-T, Stephen Reynolds finished the runner-up for $244,877, while Anthony Gregg collected the WPT title.
