Dragonfish Makes Major Inroads Into Italian Gaming Market

Since March, when changes were made to its domestic egaming industry by allowing online casinos to operate inside the country, there has been a whole host of online casinos opening up their virtual doors of late in Italy.
Such online gambling brands as William Hill under Playtech and bwin.party have  been granted licences to operate inside Europe’s biggest online gaming market by the Italian Gaming License authority, AAMS.
Now, the B2B Division of 888 Holdings known as Dragonfish, has announced the launch of its new online casino offering, providing a portfolio of casino games to bwin.it and Microgame in Italy via its CasinoFlex platform, which also powers the 888.it site. The company’s offerings include table games, slots, video poker, as well as other high profile games.
Commenting on the latest launch, 888 COO Itai Frieberger said: “Dragonfish is proud to be the gaming engine behind Microgame’s Italian Casinos. Launching Microgame’s multiple Casino brands simultaneously is a great achievement for Dragonfish, Microgame and its partners. In fact, the popular software developer Dragonfish with links to dozens of other gaming companies, will be aiming to further facilitate their various partners’ positioning in the vital European markets,including the Italian online gaming market worth €4.8 billion in 2010. The company is also expected to announce new partnerships and roll out even more online casinos over the coming months.
