PokerStars and Usain Bolt Promoting World's Fastest Poker Variant

PokerStars and Usain Bolt Promoting World's Fastest Poker Variant Back in June, Usain Bolt and PokerStars announced that they had teamed up to help promote the game of poker around the globe. In August, PokerStars then rolled out its first celebrity branded game called Zoom Usain Bolt Edition to honor the celebrated 8-time Olympic sprint champion.
Just like Bolt, who holds the record for both the quickest 100m (9.58s), and 200m (19.19s) races in history, Zoom games are the fastest online poker variants on the planet, allowing players fast fold options before moving them onto new Zoom tables to compete with other fast poker enthusiasts. As the 31 year-old Jamaican commented during a PokerStars press release at the time:
“I’m very excited to bring my special edition of Zoom to my fans and poker players around the globe. It is a non-stop poker game which is fun and competitive. I hope everyone enjoys it.”
A few weeks later, and PokerStars has now decided to celebrate its partnership with the world’s fastest man by launching a series of special promotion, which includes daily challenges, $1,500 daily freerolls, as well as a $30 free play offer for new players depositing $20 or more on the site.
Running until September 24, for instance, is the Road to Glory challenge, which offers a weekend prize of up to $5,000, which can be tripled to as much as $15,000 by taking part in a number of weekday challenges. In addition, there will be daily $1,500 Zoom freerolls available until October 16, as well as numerous other promotional games for players to enjoy, including Spin & Go tickets worth up to $10,000 for qualifying players,
One requirement of the promotion, however, is that an already registered player must first deposit $20 into their PokerStars account using the promotional code ‘BOLT’, while new players will be given a welcome free play bonus of $30, with more details of the competition’s terms and conditions available on the PokerStars website.
Commenting upon the promotion, Eric Hollreiser, vice president of corporate communications, stated: “Usain Bolt is a fierce competitor who pushes his game to the limits. But he’s also one of the most-liked athletes in the world. His strong global following and winning personality will help us to introduce poker in a fun, social and fast way.”
