Vanessa Selbst Calls Mike Matusow a "Pathetic Human Being"

Vanessa Selbst Calls Mike Matusow a "Pathetic Human Being"Mike Matusow enjoys 112k followers on twitter, with fans regularly checking out his account to hear his views on a range of different topics, with the world of politics being a particular favorite of the 49 year-old pro.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, for instance, Matusow threw his weight behind Donald Trump, invoking fierce criticism from the likes of Vanessa Selbst and Daniel Negreanu who line up squarely on the opposite side of the political spectrum.
On October 10th, Vanessa Selbst went on the twitter warpath once more, this time attacking Matusow as a person, and the opinions he expresses daily on twitter. As Selbst wrote:
“You are a disgusting, delusional, and downright pathetic human being. Every tweet you make is somehow worse than the last.”
Selbst’s recent comment came in response to a tweet posted by Matusow concerning the Harvey Weinstein scandal that broke on October 5th. Since then,Weinstein has been accused of sexual harassment, assault, or rape by dozens of actresses, with the American movie producer having since been fired from The Weinstein Company, of which he is the co-founder. Against this backdrop, Mike Matusow subsequently decided to weigh in on the scandal, and tweeted the following opinion:
“As sick as the Harvey Weistein story is everyone in USA pretty much knew you had to do sexual favors to make it in Hollywood! #hypocrites”
Needless to say, his opinion did not go down well with Selbst, a Yale Law Student with a strong interest in civil rights issues. In fact, Selbst has worked with the New Haven public defender’s office over the years, and fought for the rights of the LGBT community, prisoners, as well as a number of other groups.
Since the heated exchange hit the poker news, Matusow has backtracked, or at least tried to clarify his original tweet by stating that he was in no way trying to advocate Weinstein’s behavior. He also said that there is “No-one on this planet who respects & treats women better than me!”
“Ty but all I was doing is stating facts about truth that goes on in Hollywood & for that I got attacked & im evil empire! #triggered,” tweeted Matusow.
