Sex, Lies And Tom " Durrrr" Dwan

A couple of interesting stories involving Tom “Durrrr” Dwan have made the poker news recently, the first of which involved steamy sex on board an airplane and the other a huge gambling related exaggeration.
Firstly, in a double blow for the 24 year-old poker pro he not only found himself delayed in the UK after Virgin Atlantic lost his booking, but also his rescheduled flight was then held up during disembarkation in Las Vegas after an amorous woman was discovered performing fellatio on her boyfriend. As Dwan explains on his Twitter account:
“Stuck on my plane b/c apparently a girl was going down on a guy on my london-> vegas flight and there’s some unhappy flight attendants.”
Luckily, the attendants quickly handled the young lovers, and the rest of the passengers soon got off themselves while Dwan was then seen heading for the nearest exit port.
Also making the news was the story of Tom Dwan’s recent high-stake cash game in Macau in which it was reported the pro won a massive HK$89 million (US$11 million) pot.
The story originally broke on a blog by Joni “Jouhki” Jouhkimainen in which the Finnish player claimed  Dwan and two other players went all-in during a $20,000/$40,000 game, with Dwan holding A-Ko to his opponent’s pocket jacks and tens. Jouhkimainen claimed Dwan spiked an ace to claim the pot but it now seens the story might have been greatly exaggerated after Dwan responded via his Twitter feed:
“We play 10k-20k hong kong. There’s straddles sometimes and crazy action… But 89m with A_Ko- rly? … No to clarify, that hand was obviously fake lol.”
How Jouhkimainen originally came up with the $11 million hand story or what grain of truth there was in it remains unknown, but as Puerto Rican professional golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez once said:
“Some folks never exaggerate – they just remember big.”
