Polk and Holz to Give Social Media Fan 1% of Poker Masters Profits
September 16, 2017 11:54 amDoug Polk and Fedor Holz are two of the most successful poker pros on the live tournament circuit with four WSOP bracelets, and around $33 million in live winnings between them. They are also two of the most followed players on social media, and in appreciation of the support shown by their fans over the years the duo has offered to give one lucky winner a 1% share of their profits from the high-stakes tournament series currently underway in Las Vegas called the Poker Masters.
While such a small percentage may not sound a lot, considering the high stakes tournaments featured at the Poker Masters series, and the track record of the poker pros involved, whoever is chosen to receive the 1% is still likely to enjoy a healthy return once the “Ultimate High Roller Series” is complete.
In total, there are four $50,000 events, and a massive $100,000 buy-in tournament featured at the inaugural Poker Masters hosted at the Aria Resort and Casino, all of which offer the players a further single re-entry opportunity.
Furthermore, Doug Polk says he intends to enter all the events featured at the series, although he said he wouldn’t be taking advantage of the re-entry option. Even if he doesn’t manage to make a profit, the 29-year-old pro said he would still give a$500 bonus to the lucky winner of his social media contest. This is not the first time Polk has given away a percentage of his winnings, though, and at this year’s WSOP, he donated 2% of his profits to some other lucky fans, worth more than $30,000 on account of his victory at the $111,111 buy-in One Drop High Roller event for $3.6 million.
Meanwhile, Fedor Holz is offering a similar giveaway as Polk for those of his followers who perform a number of social media tasks, including sharing his “Life of a Champion” video, and downloading his free Primed Mind coaching app. Like Polk, Holz is also likely to net a return for his lucky winner, with the 24-year-old pro Germany’s top tournament earner with $23,904,884 in winnings, of which $3,583,701 has been won in 2017 alone.
All the action from the Poker Masters can be seen on a 30-minute delay via the subscription service, PokerGO, with broadcasts starting each day at 2:30 pm PT.
