Negreanu and Polk Feuding Again!

Negreanu and Polk Feuding Again!Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk are two of the most outspoken poker players in the business, and spend as much time engaging enthusiasts via social media as they do plying their skills at the table. However, the two pros have had a very public spat recently after Polk offered Negreanu a piece of technical advice, which did not go down too well with the Poker Hall of Famer.
The incident kicked off after Polk made the following tweet related to Negreanu’s use of a Blue Yeti microphone:
“Just a tip, Blue Yeti is a side address microphone. Audio quality will be better if it isn’t pointed towards you and is straight up.”
All Polk’s tip managed to do, though, was induce a sarcastic response from Negreanu, who replied with:
“I figured placing it there would make it easier for your editor to make dildo memes. Just trying to help!”
It wasn’t long before the players’ twitter followers got in on the action, too, and suggested a heads-up battle between the two pros. Polk seemed to like the idea, but once more Negreanu fired the following broadside against Polk:
“Don’t you have work to do? Work, like getting back in the lab so you can figure out how to beat the HU GOAT & King of the Hill Phil Hellmuth?”
Nevertheless, Negreanu’s and Polk’s bickering has been going on for some time now, and in March Polk accused Negreanu of lying about PokerStars’ revamped rake policy, with the Canadian replying that he had never claimed that “higher rake was good for poker. Not once. Ever. In my life.” He also accused Polk of mischaracterization, and loving all the controversy.
At this year’s WSOP, Polk subsequently poked fun at Negreanu’s alleged defence of his PokerStars sponsor’s unpopular rake policy by wearing a ‘More Rake Better’ t-shirt.
