Matt Glantz Becomes Parx Casino Poker AmbassadorPhiladelphia gaming complex ‘Parx Casino and Racing’ has just announced that local poker pro Matt Glantz is to be the casino’s latest poker ambassador.
Parx Casino is the biggest gaming establishment in the whole of Pennsylvania and as well as offering live racing, slot machines and table games, boast a poker room with 50 tables. It is also fast becoming a hotbed of poker action and in August will play host to the inaugural WPT Parx Open Poker Classic (POPC).
The addition of Matt Glantz as the Parx poker ambassador will therefore prove a major boost to the casino, and commenting on its new recruit, a Parx press release stated:
“Matt Glantz is a highly respected and skilled player in the poker world. His professional profile lends integrity to our flourishing poker brand. In addition to being the “face” of Parx poker, Glantz will be fully engaged in the planning and design of the poker room expansion plan underway.”
Matt Glantz has been cashing in at poker tournaments since 1999 and has amassed an impressive $4,136,362 along the way. He is currently in action at the 2012 WSOP in Las Vegas where he has already made two final tables, including the $5k Limit Hold’em event where he finished 6th for $39,259, and the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Six Handed event, finishing 7th for $40,059.
When the player known as “PokerGodZeus” is not too busy winning at the poker tables, he also writes blogs and poker articles for Card Player. Glantz can now add Parx poker ambassador to his ever increasing poker resume, and commenting on his latest deal said:
“I am very proud to have reached this milestone in my poker career and honored to be partnering with Parx Casino. It will be my mission to support Parx in becoming the premiere poker room on the east coast. They have proven their commitment toward this goal since opening day, and I look forward to doing my part to make this vision a reality.”
