Maria Ho Re-Signs With WinStar World Casino

Maria Ho joined WinStar World Casino back in May, 2011 as the casino’s  celebrity spokesperson, and now over half a year later the poker pro has received an extension to her contract.
Situated on the Oklahoma-Texas border, Winstar World Casino is the third largest land-based casino in the world with facilities including 7,200 electronic games, a 46 table poker room and 76 table games.
Along with the WinStar World Casino’s other celebrity spokesperson, Greg Raymer, Maria Ho’s duties will include promoting the casino by making multiple appearances there throughout 2012, participating in its $3 million guaranteed poker series ‘The River Series,’ as well as various other tournaments around the world, and also featuring in commercial for the casino.
Commenting on her contract extension with WinStar World Casino, the Taiwanese born pro said:
“I am ecstatic to be back representing WinStar World Casino. Over the last year, the players who I have had the chance to meet and play with on property showed me such a good time and possessed such a heartfelt love for the game of poker which really reignited my own passion for the game. Jay Wiles and the entire team at WinStar go out of their way to create a personal experience and a genuine relationship with their players, and that’s just one of the reasons I’m so proud to represent them.”
Maria Ho cashed in at her first live tournament in 2005, and has since gone on to amass $1,188,204 in live earnings, taking her to 12th place on Poker’s Women All Time Money.
Maria Ho’s career highlights so far include being the last woman standing in the 2007 WSOP Main Event, in which she finished 38th for $237,865. This year, she also came 2nd in the WSOP $5,000 No-Limit Event for $540,020, eventually finishing 2011 as the second highest earning female poker player with $659,899 in winnings.
