Hans Martin Vogl Joins Betfair's Poker Team

Hans Martin Vogl Joins Betfair's Poker TeamIt has just been announced that German poker pro Hans Martin Vogl is to become the latest addition to Team Betfair Poker.
The cash, Sit & Go and MTT specialist first started playing the game back in 2004, using €5,000 from his sports betting winnings to initially fund his forage into the world of online poker. Vogl then found himself breaking-even for a few short months before his poker studies helped him to become a winning player and he says he hasn’t had a losing month since.
When asked to describe what skills have attributed to his poker success, the German pro said:
“Hard work I would say. Reading books, analyzing hand histories, discussing hands with friends. Then of course playing, playing and playing to get into a routine. It is also important to have self-discipline in order to avoid chasing losses or going on tilt.”
After mastering online poker, he then complimented his game by entering the live arena and in 2006, placed 7th at the $5,000 Betfair Asian Poker Tour for $58,306. The following year, he made the final table of the $10K Aussie Millions main event, where he finished 5th for $400,000 and has now amassed $501,497 from live tournaments.
The former Full Tilt pro Hans Martin Vogl can now look forward to a successful partnership representing one of the world’s largest online gambling companies. Commenting on Vogl joining Team Betfair, Betfair global poker manager Asko Heiskanen Said:
“We are always looking for great players who can represent Betfair. Hans has demonstrated time and time again that he is a player of extraordinary skills. We believe there’s much more to come from him and we are delighted he has joined Team Betfair.”
