Gus Hansen Named First Full Tilt Amabassador

Gus Hansen Named First Full Tilt Amabassador Ahead of Full Tilt Poker’s November 6th relaunch, Danish pro Gus Hansen has now been named as the site’s first official brand ambassador. Commenting on his sponsorship deal, Gus said:
“I’m very excited to represent the industry’s most authentic poker brand. Full Tilt Poker has the best games, most innovative software and the strongest poker community; to me this feels like coming home.”
As well as being a top tier tournament player ranked 13th on Poker’s ‘All Time Money List’ with $11,210,072 in live earnings, the 38 year-old is also a prolific cash game player and was a regular visitor to Full Tilt’s nosebleed tables prior to Black-Friday. The former Team Full Tilt member also provided some of the most entertaining and dramatic news stories on the site as his loose-aggressive style saw his bankroll swing by millions of dollars from month to month.
As Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond once famously noted back in 2009: “To call Gus a fish is a little bit strong because he is a good player. But he is losing money. Again, I could be proven wrong, but he’s the reason that most of the games run right now.”
However, after winning his first WSOP bracelet in 2010, Hansen went on an impressive upswing and was $3,941,703 in profit at Full Tilt in 2011 before the site went offline. As Hansen noted recently, “there’s only one person who has more money on Full Tilt than me, and that’s Jungleman.”
Commenting on their new signing, Full Tilt Head of Marketing Sarne Lightman, said: “Gus is one of the best-known and most respected names in the poker community. Gus has always embodied the best characteristics of the Full Tilt Poker brand and we are thrilled to have him return as an ambassador.”
Sarne Lightman also warned to expect more pro signings and exciting launch promotions over the next few weeks as Full Tilt Poker readies to take to the poker stage once more.
