Full Tilt Poker Red Pros Welcome Jani “KObyTAPOUT” Vilmunen Onboard

Although there has been no announcement from the site to date, it is fairly safe to assume Finnish pro player, Jani “KObyTAPOUT” Vilmunen, has joined Full Tilt Poker as a Red Pro. Until recently he could be seen playing at the sites virtual felts as ‘KObyTapout’ but now, in Red Pro fashion, his screen name has been changed to Vilmunen.
In contrast to “Team Full Tilt” who receive shares in Full Tilt worth millions, the Red Pros are not full-fledged members but are sponsored by the site and receive $35 an hour plus 100% rakeback.
Jani from Porvoo Finland is a well known PLO high stakes cash player and although he occasionally plays as high as 300/600, he usually prefers 25/50 or 50/100 online, and comments, “The games are a bit softer at mid stakes and the downswings are easier to take, especially if you’re used to the swings at high stakes.”
As well as his online profits, Vilmunen has enjoyed live tournament success too, having won $505,540 including a 7th place finish at the 2006 WSOP $10,000 Buy-in PLO for $81,968 and capturing a WSOPE bracelet at this year’s WSOPE £5,250 Buy-in PLO event for $332,326.
Vilmunen is one of the Finnish group of high rollers, which includes Patrik Antonius, Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Sahamies & Sami ‘LarsLuzak’ Kelopuro and just like his colleagues he enjoys some high stakes prop action. In one of Brandon Adams’ blog entries he recollects:
“So the two days after the Cash Game I played golf with Antonius, KobyTapOut, and Robert Alexander… It was for sure the most insane golf gambling I’ve ever seen… on the last hole of day two, KobyTapOut (Jani) lost 180k in one hole when he got a par vs Robert’s birdie.”
You can now follow Jani Vilmunen at Full Tilt Poker and new players joining are eligible for a new player bonus of 100% and up to $600 dollars on their first deposit using the Full Tilt Bonus Code.
