Full Tilt Ambassadors Lose $2.6m Since Relaunch

Full Tilt Ambassadors Lose $2.6m Since RelaunchAhead of its November 6th relaunch, Full Tilt Poker announced its new team called “The Professionals,” who would be representing the site. Less than a month on, however, and the trio of ambassadors consisting of Gus Hansen, Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom have had a less than stellar start after dropping a combined $2,616,154 between them.
At the time of their signing, Full Tilt Poker Head of marketing, Sarne Lightman, said; “In choosing our Pros we approached the three poker players whose unique and innovative styles have had the most impact on how modern poker is played.”
However, those styles often include a hyper-aggressive approach which leads to plenty of action, but also plenty of wild swings. Topping the list of losers is Danish pro Gus Hansen, who is currently stuck a massive -$1,923,831 over 25,533 hands played. Adding to the 38 year-old’s woes was a 23 hour session played towards the end of November in which he lost $1.4 million at the FLO8 tables, against such players as Kyle “cottonseed1” Hendon, Kyle “KPR16” Ray and “SallyWoo.”
Prior to Full Tilt Poker going off-line in 2011, Gus Hansen had managed to turn his fortunes around and was riding an upswing that had netted him a $3,941,703 profit for the year. Unfortunately, since returning to his former stomping ground things have reversed once again for Hansen who now finds himself down a whopping $5,130,565 since Full Tilt first opened back in 2007.
Fairing slightly better, is Viktor “Isildur1” Blom down $297,724 over 25,082 hands played over the month. The Swedish pro had previously been sponsored by PokerStars and was down $1,201,205 at the poker room before leaving to become a sponsored pro at Full Tilt. The 22 year-old is currently stuck -$2,927,955 on Full Tilt since January 2011. Finally, Tom “durrrr” Dwan finds himself in the red by $394,599 over 10,203 hands played, but won’t be too concerned by his slow start. Overall, Dwan is in profit by $2,007,440 at Full Tilt since he first started playing at the site back in 2007.
