Daniel Negreanu Calls James Woods a Disgusting Scumbag

Earlier this month, Vanessa Selbst called veteran Hollywood actor and poker aficionado James Woods a “lunatic” after a twitter war broke out mostly over their diametrically opposed political views. It wasn’t long before Daniel Negreanu then tweeted his support for fellow Team PokerStars Pro member Selbst, calling Woods “a real piece of sh*t.”
Negreanu’s animosity towards Woods obviously runs deep, and this week the Canadian player reacted strongly to a sign carried by actress Emily Perkins at the #MeToo march in Los Angeles on Sunday. One aspect of the rally was to highlight the abuse inflicted on others by high-powered people within the entertainment industry, with Emily Perkins subsequently carrying a sign carrying the name of James Woods.
While Woods initially chose not to react to Perkins’ claim, the 70 year-old actor and producer soon came off the fence after Negreanu decided to level accusations against Woods by tweeting the following message:
“Add James Woods to the list of men accused of chasing 16 year old girls. He appears to have a lot in common with Roy Moore. What is wrong with these people? Disgusting. Do I believe these women? 1000% yes.”
Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore, 70, currently has a number allegations levelled against him of pursuing relationships with teenagers while he was still in his 30s, with one woman saying that she was just 14 years old at the time. Needless to say, Woods reacted strongly to Negreanu’s accusations, and hit back as follows:
“Say it like a man to my face, you cowardly piece of sh*t. Say it as a statement of fact, so if you have any money left, you might actually be worth suing, unlike these other losers with no money and big mouths. And how old was Evelyn Ng when you were her “mentor,” you hypocrite?”
While Evelyn Ng was just 16 when Negreanu dated her, he was only a year or two older than her at the time, while another of Woods’ accusers, actress Amber Tamblyn, 34, says that he was in his 40s when he tried to pick her up aged 16.
Continuing his verbal assault on Woods, Negreanu later referred to him as “quite a scumbag” who exhibited a “pattern of dating teens as an old creepy dude.” Meanwhile, Woods seems to have broken off his verbal exchange with Negreanu, stating that he had “already scraped him off my shoe.”
