Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates In Multi-Accounting Fiasco

In a month where the damage to online poker’s reputation keeps escalating, Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates has now become the latest high-profile pro to become embroiled in yet another cheating scandal.
After conducting an interview with poker site subjectpoker.com in which he denied any wrongdoing, Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates then rearranged a new interview in which he reversed his earlier position and admitted to a whole slew of dubious practices.
Although denying having  multi-accounted on either PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker, Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates has, however, now admitted to the practice using the accounts of his now disgraced colleagues Jose “Girah” Macedo and Haseeb Qureshi.
On his friends’ European online poker accounts on the Ipoker network, “Jungleman12” used the names “Girahh,” “samchauhan” (previously used for a $100,000 chip dump), “Toshisan” as well as others to hide his identity from duped opponents.
Making matters worse is the fact that one player who inadvertently ended up playing Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates instead of “Girahh,” and lost between $40k to $50k to the high-stakes cash shark, was recently refused the return of his money by an uncontrite Jungleman12.
Instead, Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates seemed to imply that the practice was in fact common amongst high stakes circles, and so offered only a small amount of compensation in return, or some coaching.
An extract of text messages from Cates to the aggrieved Tyler Smith read:
“I can offer coaching as a condolence, that being said it was implied that you were playing someone good…If you’re suggesting I give you money back I’d like to point out no one has gotten money back from maing (multi-accounting)…I don’t want my rep ruined further…or you will post on 2+2?…sounds like you’re blackmailing me…GL bro, if you want to throw poo at each other here we go.”
As to how the latest scandal to hit online poker develops from here is presently unknown, but as one poster on the TwoPlusTwo forum pointed out:
“After reading this it is clear that junglemans moral compass is not only way off but he really isn’t quite wired right in the head. Don’t know whether to feel sorry for him or be disgusted.
