Dan Martin Set To Resume Play At Pokerstars

Dan Martin, the 22 year old poker sensation from Oregon, USA will be free to resume play at the world’s biggest online Poker sites, Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker on August 6th. Martin was banned back in April from Pokerstars after it was discovered he had been using multi accounts which is against the terms and conditions of the main online sites.
Multi-accounting refers to the practice of holding more than one account/screen name thus allowing a player, for instance, to enter more than once for the same tournament thus gaining an unfair advantage over other players.Martin has been a successful tournament player in the past and his results include 1st place on Full Tilt Sunday Brawl on June 1st, 2008 for nearly $70k and  also a victory in the PokerStars Nightly Hundred Grand for $29k, to name but two of his many cashes.
However, Dan Martin explained that he had two accounts, one under the name of ‘Wretchy’ and the other ‘WhatsLogic and said “I played under WhatsLogic for an ample time period (6-9 months), but I did not ever play both accounts that were in a tournament. The hand histories proved this because the style of play was completely different.” The WhatsLogic name was primarily used in cash games, whereas Wretchy was one of the world’s top tournament players.
He did admit, though, that his girlfriend sometimes used his accounts and that they had played over 45 tournaments together over a year and half period, one fifth of which were from the same IP address.
After this incident Martin removed his money from Pokerstars but his bankroll remains frozen at Full Tilt Poker until the end of his ban. He now is preparing to head to Las Vegas for WSOP 2009 where he intends to enter the Main Event.
