Annette Obrestad Signed To Poker RoyaltyOn Friday, it was announced that Norwegian poker pro Annette Obrestad has signed to poker representation agents, Poker Royalty. The company was founded in 2003 and represents some of the biggest poker stars in the world, including Carlos Mortenson, Eugene Katchalov, Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth and Tom Dwan.
Now the the 2007 WSOP Europe Champion has joined their illustrious ranks and commenting on their new client,  Director of European Operations for Poker Royalty, Jim Erwood, said:
“Annette is without question one of the biggest names in poker and certainly one of the top few females in the world playing the game today. Poker Royalty is extremely proud and delighted to announce Annette’s signing and is looking forward to helping her cement her reputation in the game.”
Annette Obrestad started her poker career playing freeroll poker tournaments and claims never to have deposited money at any online poker site. She has since gone on to become one of the games top talents and is currently listed 4th on the ‘Women’s All Time Money List’ with $3,738,569 in live career cashes, as well as a further $2,364,045 earned playing online under the screen name Annette_15.
In the past, the 23 year-old has been sponsored by Betfair and then Full Tilt Poker but has been a free agent since the beleaguered poker room went offline. After joining leading poker management firm Poker Royalty, Annette Obrestad commented:
“I am thrilled to announce I am officially signed to Poker Royalty. I have known about the company for a few years and know their positive reputation in the business is well deserved. I am relying on them to help me advance my poker career to the next level.”
