Andreas "skjervoy" Torbergsen Up $3.78m In 2010 At Full Tilt

Andreas “skjervoy” Torbergsen has now moved into second spot behing Dan “jungleman12” Cates in Full Tilt’s top money earners for 2010.
The Norweigan pro and CardRunners instructor is generally  believed to be one of the world’s top PLO players , which is further confirmed by his winning $3.78 million on the site this year.
The Full Tilt red pros’ results are all the more impressive as before September came along he had hardly put in an appearance at his sponsored site during 2010. Then suddenly over a short four months Torbergsen has won a staggering $3.78 million to overtake Tom Dwan, who is now currently in third spot with $3.5 million.
It was while visiting Las Vegas in 2005 that Torbergsen developed a keen interest in Pot Limit Omaha, a poker variant noted for its high action and gamble. Torbergsen said he prefers PLO to NLHE as he finds it “too boring” playing with just 2 cards and his choice proved a shrewd move as it can be a highly lucrative endeavour for a good player
Developing his skills over the past five years has seen the Norweigan move up from playing $10-20 PLO by late 2006 to now playing at the highest stakes, with one of his most successful games being $500/$1000 HU PLO.
Commenting on what has helped him excel in his chosen game, Andreas “Skjervøy” Torbergsen said:
“I’m a feel player. I like to believe my instincts are good, and I love trying out stuff, but I’ve learned to use the math behind..I’ve been lucky to have some good friends to talk poker with along the way and learned a lot from the 2+2 forums in the beginning.”
In addition to his winnings at Full Tilt, “skjervoy” is also showing a profit of $737,423 from his time spent playing at PokerStars.
