Absolute Poker's Liv Boeree Moves To UltimateBet

Liv Boeree’s poker career has gone from strength to strength since she learnt to play the game back in 2005, and this is reflected in her latest move from Absolute Poker to Team Ultimate Bet.
Liv, an astrophysics student from Kent, England, got her first break in poker when she appeared as a contestant on the TV programme “Ultimatepoker.com Showdown”, and was selected to be tutored by Annie Duke and ‘Poker Hall of Fame’ legend Phil Helmuth.
The coaching she received paid off and shortly after she became involved in and around the industry as a player and also as a presenter and journalist for a variety of poker media including GutshotTV, ChallengeTV, WorldSeriesofPoker.com, Bluff Europe and Sky Poker TV.
At 23 years of age Liv caught the attention of Absolute Poker, not only for her TV and journalistic work but also for her string of poker tournament top ten finishes and now at 25 years of age, has amassed over $162,000 in live tournament wins including a first place finish at the ‘Ladbrokes European Ladies Championship’ in 2008, and cashes both at the WSOP and World Poker Tour.
Liv seems delighted with her latest move to UltimateBet and joining the rest of Team UB, which include Adam Levy, Brandon Cantu, Hollywood Dave Stann, Matt Graham, Michael Binger, Scott Ian and Tiffany Michelle. She also expressed a particular delight in joining both Annie Duke and Phil Helmuth at UltimateBet.
“It’s an honor to play with the two people who helped launch my poker career.” she said,     ” Annie and Phil are two of my favorite players so to sit on the same team as them is a bit of a surreal experience but one I’m definitely proud of.”
