Full Tilt Poker Set to Relaunch On Nov. 6th
September 14, 2012 2:49 pmAfter being in a state of purgatory for the last year and a half, Full Tilt Poker is set to relaunch on November 6th under the tutelage of its new owner PokerStars.
Prior to its proposed relaunch date, PokerStars has set about the task of ensuring all Full Tilt Poker accounts are fully verified and active ahead of time and on Thursday sent out e-mails to its non-American customers asking them to provide the necessary details. As an extract from the e-mail states:
“Providing valid documentation now will ensure that your account is fully verified and active upon re-launch. Once relaunch and system testing has completed, you will have unrestricted access to your Full Tilt Poker account, including all cashier functionality and poker games.”
Amongst the items PokerStars has requested in order to verify an account are high-quality photographs or scanned copies (less than 3MB) of a bank or credit card statement. Other items accepted include a utility bill, phone bill, insurance papers or a pay slip. Copy of a valid photo ID and proof of “your address on file” has also been requested.
Initially, after thousands of Full Tilt customers received the email there was concern it could have been a scam. However, after several poker players posted their account verification by PokerStars on twitter and poker forums, those concerns soon eased.
Nevertheless, many customers were left wondering why they hadn’t received the e-mail , but Full Tilt Poker Customer Support later explained that at the moment they were just dealing with players who had “balances over $3,500 (or €3,000) as of 29 June, 2011” and were also based outside of the USA.
In other words, other categories of players will be contacted later and all being well, by the time Full Tilt relaunches in November, all non-US customers can expect to have access to their full funds.
