Retro Week Series coming to 888poker

In celebration of their 20 years in the poker business, 888poker is dialing back the clock with their new Retro Week Series.

The Series will run from March 20 to 27 and include 26 events, some of which have been long retired from the regular 888poker rotation. The 26 events will have a combined $888,000 guaranteed prize pool and their buy-ins will range from $11 to $525. (Sign up with 888 Poker now)

Will Big Fish return with Retro Week Series?

If you’re an 888poker lifer, you may remember the Big Fish tournaments which were very popular during their heyday. During Retro Week the $30,000 Big Fish returns on Sunday, March 20 with a $33 buy-in. There’s also a $20,000 Big Fish PKO tournament with a $33 buy-in on Friday, March 25.

If you’re looking for the high roller events with the $525 buy-in there are two, and they’re both called the $50,000 Whale. The first Whale is on the first day of the series on Sunday, March 20, while the second Whale closes out the series on Sunday, March 27. ( 888Poker Review )

If you’d prefer to go after the large guarantees on the Retro Week Series schedule, there are a pair of six-figure guarantees. The first six-figure guarantee is also on the opening day of the series, Sunday, March 10. It’s the $100,000 Sunday Challenge and it has a reasonable $90 buy-in.

The other six-figure guarantee is the Retro Week Series Main event. It is on the final day of the series on Sunday, March 27. The Main Event has a $300,000 guarantee and a $215 buy-in. If you can’t afford that there are plenty of cheaper ways to earn your way into the Main Even through satellite qualifiers.
