PokerStars.com is the biggest online poker room in the world! They did not become number one easily, but with great customer service and players around the clock as well as their amazing special events, they have proven to be the best in the online Poker player community. PokerStars is known for their great promos and tournies such as their PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, and of course the new PokerStars bonus. This is their 7th annual PCA and the events will be starting January 4th, 2010.
Next year’s event will be held at the gorgeous Atlantis Hotel and casino on the Paradise Island of the Bahamas. Many well known poker pros will be taking a seat in the adventure, as well as many online players who win their seats by winning special tournaments on PokerStars.com.
The 2010 event is expected to have more than the 1,347 players (845 of those players won their seat and trip by playing on PokerStars.com) who entered into last year’s PCA. Many say that the 2010 PCA will have the most players and largest prize pool in a live Poker tournament outside of Las Vegas ever!
Last year’s main event prize pool was not to shabby at $12.6 million, however this year with a $10,000 + $300 buy in is expected to generate a $14.5 million prize pool. Last year’s main event lasted 6 days and was won by Poorya Nazari of Canada for a sum of $3 million!
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is a 10 day festival of Poker with over 50 events with buy ins starting as low as $200 all the way up to $25,000 buy ins. There is a litte bit for everyone including; heads up, full ring and short handed tables playing; No Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha 8’s and Better Hi-Lo and Badugi/2-7 Triple Draw.
There will also be 3 lady only events and 3 8-Game events that you will usually only find in Vegas. On top of that, the tournament schedule will also include daily Battleship of Online Poker events in which PokerStars will introduce some new surprise formats! But that is not all.
On top of that the PCA will also include the PokerStars World Cup of Poker VI, where the remaining 9 countries from the global online preliminaries will duke it out at the Grand Final live for the title and a share of the $100,000 first prize!
If you are unable to make it to the Bahamas to be a part of this great event, you can catch it on television as it will be broadcast in North and Latin America, Europe and Russia’s major television networks.
The World Cup of Poker final, the High Roller event and the PCA main event will be showed as part of Season 6 of the European Poker Tour as well as the Season 3 Latin American Poker Tour television series and of course you can also find these events broadcast live on www.PokerStars.tv.
