Ontario Poker Championships coming to PartyPoker

PartyPoker players in Ontario will be served up plenty of tournament opportunities in January with the Ontario Poker Championships running from January 8-23.

The Championships schedule includes 105 events and fits any poker budget with buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $530. Even the big money events aren’t totally out of reach of smaller budget players with satellite qualifiers available starting at one cent.

The Championships kicks off on January 8 with three Opener Tournaments with varying buy-ins and guaranteed prize pools. The cheapest Opener has a very affordable $1.10 buy-in and a $150 guarantee. The middle of the road Opener has a $5.50 buy-in with a $1,000 guarantee. The most expensive Opener has a $55 buy-in with a $10,000 guarantee.

Three seems to be the go-to number for the Championships as there are also three Main Events on the schedule. Each Main Event has multiple Day1 flights and, as long as they can afford it, players can play in as many Day 1 flights as they want. All surviving players from Day 1 move onto Day 2 held late in the Championships schedule.

For the lower budget players the cheapest Ontario Poker Championships Main Event has a $3.30 buy-in with a $2,000 guarantee.

The middle of the road Ontario Poker Championships Main Event has a $33 buy-in and a $20,000 guarantee.

The richest Ontario Poker Championships Main Event has a $109 buy-in and a $50,000 guarantee.
