Mike Kowoski Wins PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge

There is a new poker millionaire thanks to PokerStars tv show, the Million Dollar Challenge.  The episode where he becomes a millionaire won’t actually air until December 27th but Mike Kowoski has already won.
Mike Kowoski is retired New York Police Department Sargeant that beat Daniel Negreanu out of the top prize.  He was originally only chosen to be an alternate fro the show but was called in to play.
When he got the call he had to cancel his 25th wedding anniversary party but I’m sure the million dollar prize went along way towards smoothing the waters with the wife.
He wasn’t expecting to play and he was taken out by Joanna Krupa in the preliminaries but he played in a consolation Sit n Go and won a seat in the show’s final Sit n Go which he won as well to get him to the final challenge.
He plans on helping his family and others that were touched by 9/11 with his winnings by donating monies to the Families of Freedom 9/11 Scholarship find and City Harvest New York.  He also plans on paying off his house and paying for a little remodeling as well as enjoying his retirement.
New players are eligible for a bonus of 100% up to $600 dollars on their first deposit.
