Genius Promotion Launched At PartyPoker

Monday 6th July at 12 ET saw the start of the PartyPoker Genius promotion at the cash game tables applicable to the 10c/25c  levels and above. Every 50,000 hand played will receive a bonus of $100 up to $5,000 with all players in the hand receiving an equal share of the bonus.
The bonuses then escalate with every millionth hand receiving a $10,000 boost culminating in a whopping guaranteed $100,000 cash prize for the 10 millionth hand played.The payouts are actually calculated by squaring the pot of that particular hand in order to calculate the bonus payout.In other words, since the minimum payout is $100 any pot less that $10 will be rounded up such that 10 x 10 = 100 will fulfill the requirements for the minimum prize. In the same way a $70 pot is roughly what the maximum payout would be.
PartyPoker is the fourth largest online poker site and if you would like to take advantage of this promo you’ll have to be quick as it’s already almost a tenth of the way through already.Half an hour into the promotion and already 700,000 hands had been played and $3,500 of Genius cash payed out.Unfortunately, however, Partypoker does not accept players from the United States.
This new promotion complements Party Poker’s Monthly Million tournament which was launched on February 1st this year and takes place on the first Sunday of each month. This $640 buy-in competition has a guarenteed prize pool of $1 million and offers a host of satellites that start at around $1 and allow players a shot at taking down a big prize. First prize usually receives around $200,000 with $130,000 to second place.
