The first two World Series of Poker bracelets for online events have been awarded at the 2022 WSOP.

The first two online events on the 2022 WSOP schedule were the $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Freezeout and the No-Limit Hold’em BIG $500.

The Freezeout had 218 entries resulting in a $1,090,000 prize pool. The top 35 finishers in the tournament were paid. The last man standing was Hungary’s Norbert Szacsi, who plays online under the name Balkan500. For the win Szacsi cashed $288,850 and claimed his third career WSOP bracelet, and first in an online event.

Szacsi won his first WSOP bracelet in 2013 in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em event and cashed $345,037. His second WSOP bracelet win came at the 2018 WSOP Europe in the €1,650 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha/No-Limit Hold’em event. In that he cashed $99,585, and his lifetime WSOP earnings are just over $1.7 million.

The BIG $500 had 1,213 entries and a $799,200 prize pool. The top 289 players finished in the money. The winner of the event was Germany’s Manig Loeser, who plays online under the name Ohio77. Loeser cashed $127,153 for the win and won his second WSOP bracelet. Both bracelets have been won in WSOP online events.

Loeser’s first WSOP win came in the 2021 WSOP Online Series in the $600 No-Limit Hold’em MonsterStack event. He cashed $104,313 for that win, and his career WSOP winnings stand at just over $1.9 million.

The 2022 WSOP Online events resume on Sunday July 12 with the $400 No-Limit Hold’em Ultra Deepstack event. There are 13 online events on the 2022 WSOP schedule including two more high roller events, the $7,777 Luck 7s No-Limit Hold’em High Roller, and the $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Freezeout Encore.
