Celebrate the Summer Solstice at Intertops Poker

Summer officially arrives next week, and Intertops Poker is getting ready for it with their new Summer Solstice tournament.

This year the Summer Solstice is on June 21. The Intertops Summer Solstice tournament doesn’t take place that day, but the satellites to get into the tournament on the cheap do.

Celebrate the Summer Solstice at Intertops Poker

Before we rundown the satellites let’s talk about the tournament itself. The Intertops Summer Solstice tournament begins on Thursday, June 24 at 7:05 p.m. eastern. It is a No-Limit Hold’em R&A tournament with a $30 + $3 buy-in and a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players will start with 2,000 chips and blinds go up every eight minutes.

The satellites to the Summer Solstice tournament run from June 21 to 24. There are three satellite tournaments running per day at 9:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. The satellites have a cheap $2 + $0.20 buy-in with at least one ticket to the Summer Solstice tournament guaranteed.

Intertops Poker is known for taking days from the calendar and using it to brand a new tournament. The Summer Solstice isn’t the only one they have coming up. This weekend Intertops Poker is recognizing Garfield the Cat Day with a special Garfield tournament on June 19.

Yes, the Garfield who hates Mondays and loves lasagna is getting his own tournament at Interops Poker. The tournament begins at 7:05 p.m. on June 19 with a $18 + $1.80 buy-in and a $1,500 guaranteed prize.

There are also special Garfield tournament satellites earlier in the day on June 19. These satellites with a $0.90 + $0.09 buy-in run at 9:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
