March 22, 2019 5:38 pm888 Holdings is changing their poker platform in an effort to better meet their customers needs.
888 announced this week a new poker client will be rolled out across all of their territories, dubbed Poker 8.
The new poker platform will be rolled out to desktop users at first, with 888 announcing platform changes will also be coming for mobile users in the near future. The changes to the desktop platform will include a new sleeker design, improved and enhanced graphics, and enhanced functionality to make game plan and adjusting player settings easier.
The new platform will also make it easier for multi-table players to move between tables.
Why did 888 Poker change its platform?
According to 888, future changes to the platform will also enhance the graphics and functionality of the lobby and for the mobile platform.
Gary Cohen, senior vice-president of B2C for 88 Holdings announced in a statement “Over the coming months, all players will benefit from additional upgrades and improvements to our next generation poker platform and we’ll be taking on board customer feedback about the new features.
Once the roll-out is complete, we believe our best-in-class platform will offer the most entertaining and engaging experience on the market.”
In an attempt to make their platform more user-friendly 888 is asking for user feedback to measure the success of the new platform and determine what other improvements or tweaks to the platform are needed.

If the prize pool targets are met the tournament will go ahead and players will go after big cash prizes. If they fail to meet the guaranteed prize pool all players will have their tournament fees, including any re-entry fees, refunded.
Also, if the guarantee isn’t met, 888 will increase the prize pool by 10 per cent the following week.
