Team Bet24 Signs Seven More Poker Pros

Scandinavian online gaming operator Bet24 has just announced the addition of seven more budding poker players to Bet24 Team pros, which now numbers thirteen.
Haling from different backgrounds, the latest recruits include Stefan Mattsson (Sweden), Tapio Vihakas (Finland), Ida Lundholm (Sweden), Arvin Golrang (Sweden), Matias Knaapinen (Finland), David Wintersberger (Germany), and Sara Shalabi (Sweden).
Breaking the players down further, Stefan Mattsson would seem to have the most experience of the group having been a pro for over 7 years. Despite considering himself a cash pro, Mattsson also has amassed over $1.3 million in live tournaments winnings, and commenting on his latest deal, said:
“It feels like a really good start on the new year to become a part of Team Bet24.”
Next, Matias Knaapinen’has been a pro since 2005, and is now a PLO specialist, as well as playing some bigger Sunday tournaments. On the live circuit, Knaapinen has won more than $300,000, which includes victory in the 2010 European Master of Poker for $133,410.
The other recruits include short-handed limit specialist Tapio Vihakas; PLO cash games specialist Ida Lundholm; Heads-up SNG expert Arvin Golrang; Heads-up SNG and PLO cash specialist David Wintersberger, as well as Swedish TV celebrity Sara Shalabi.
Following an announcement of the latest members, a delighted Bet24 poker manager Lars Kollind said: “We are very happy and excited to sign some of Europe’s most highly qualified players. It is amazing to have seven new poker profiles in our team and to be able to participate in their development as poker players while continuing to build and strengthen Bet24 as a brand throughout Europe and beyond.”
It would now appear that Bet24 team is aiming to build a stable of 24 players by the end of the year. Lars Kollind also hinted that other players will likely also be recruited from Canada, Australia and the UK.
