Woman Wins $1.2 Million Slots Jackpot At New York Casino
February 24, 2011 11:17 amOne lucky lady is toasting her new life as a millionaire after hitting a $1.2 million slots jackpot at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino in Hogansburg.
Last weekend local woman Patti Breault payed a visit to the Native American run New York casino hoping to enjoy a night out, as well as the chance to win a $2,000 giveaway prize.
Consequently, when the slot she was playing starting making noises Patti thought she had won the casino’s giveaway prize until a nearby customer put her straight on her massive win.
“This lady over here is going, ‘You won the mega million.’ And I’m going, ‘Nope, not me. There’s something wrong with the machine.’” explained Patti Breault.
Even after Patti returned home richer to the tune of $1.2 million she had a hard time believing her incredible good fortune and said:
“I came home and I fell asleep on the couch for about two hours and I woke up thinking oh my God, what a dream, unbelievable, you know? Then I looked over and saw the check and I started crying all over again.”
Winning the incredible mega millions jackpot couldn’t have come at a more poignant moment for Breault, who has suffered a series of personal tragedies over the past decade.
Firstly, the residential supervisor fell behind on her house payments when she had to take time off to tend to her ailing elderly mother. The situation then became so serious that the bank was ready to foreclose on her house while, in the meantime, she lost a sister to cancer, a brother and sister-in-law in a tragic snowmobiling accident with her mother eventually passing away recently.
With her $1.2 million slots jackpot Patti’s life has now done a full 180 degrees turn around and hardly able to contain her relief, she exclaimed:
“My life went from very tough to a lot less stressful…I just can’t get over it. Never in a thousand years would I have ever dreamed this would happen.”
Congratulations to Patti Breault on her deserved life changing win at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino in Hogansburg.
