Massive $10M Slots Jackpot Hit at Fiesta Henderson Casino

One lucky Nevada resident is celebrating his new-found status as a multi-millionaire after hitting a huge Megabucks progressive slots jackpot worth over $10 million while visiting the Fiesta Henderson Hotel and Casino.
Interestingly, the man, known only as Roger, moved to the Silver State from Florida a few short months ago to enjoy his retirement years, before becoming fascinated by the slot machines featured at the Fiesta Henderson. He then started visiting the venue nearly everyday, and on Saturday night, said that he was playing at the same slot that he he had done earlier that afternoon, when he won $20 and played four more spins before hitting the big winner for a grand total of $10,192,522.
Describing the fateful moment, he said that although the slot machine lit up, he wasn’t even aware that he had won the jackpot until a lady approached him and broke the good news. Nevertheless, Roger says that he still can’t really believe what has happened, and the reality of his new situation will only sink in after the check clears his bank account this week.
“I think when that happens, I’ll probably pass out,” explained the lucky winner.
In the meantime, Roger declined to be photographed after hitting the jackpot, and says that he will keep his identity anonymous because if he told everyone he would start getting friends he doesn’t want. As to what he now intends to do with his incredible fortune, Roger, echoing the sentiment of the late, great Manchester United soccer legend George Best, stated:
“I’ll probably spend most of it on alcohol, women and gambling. The rest of it I’ll waste.”
Meanwhile, the Fiesta Henderson casino expressed their congratulations for one of their loyal customers, with Lori Nelson, Station Casinos Director of Corporate Communications, commenting: “What an unbelievably exciting day at Fiesta Henderson.  We wish our winner a lifetime of happiness enjoying their winnings.”
According to one gambling expert, the chances of taking down a progressive slots jackpot is extremely slight with odds of around 1 in 49,836,032. By comparison, the chances of winning the National Lottery in the UK, a country of 65.64 million, is 1 in 13,983,816, while the odds of suffering a lightning strike in a given year comes in at 1 in 700,000.
