Huge Green Fireball Seen Before Massive Casino Jackpot Struck

Huge Green Fireball Seen Before Massive Casino Jackpot StruckIn Western society, meteor sightings are often associated with good fortune, hence the expression to wish upon a star. There is one lucky winner of the biggest bad-beat poker jackpot in US history who will not be disputing the superstition, either, after he witnessed an unusual green-tinted explosion in the sky on his way to the Motor City Casino in Detroit.
That night, Kenny Tallent ended up winning a hand at one the casino’s poker tables holding quad queens to his opponent’s quad threes to secure a 20% share of a bad-beat poker jackpot worth $1.068 million. That netted him a whopping $213,700, while the other players also scooping huge prizes that night included the person with the losing hand who was awarded $427,400, as well as four other players seated at the table who were paid $106,800 a piece. Describing the moment he and his opponent realized that they had struck the huge bad-beat jackpot, Tallent stated:
“I looked at [Scott] and said ‘do you got it?’ He looked at me and said, ‘do you got it?’ And, we both rolled our hands over and we went crazy. We started jumping up and down and dancing. The whole room gravitated to our table.”
Meanwhile, Tallent said that he can’t help thinking that maybe the meteor he saw while driving along I-94 on his way to the Detroit casino was somehow a “precursor” to his luck that night.
While meteor sightings are fairly common occurrences, the one that Tallent witnessed appears to have been a much rarer event all together, with NASA describing it as an almost two meter-wide meteor that broke apart 32 kilometers above the Earth. The massive explosion was subsequently seen by skywatchers all around Michigan, in addition to many others located in Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, and Canada, and according to Tallent, it was so big that at first he thought that some kind of bomb had gone off.
Kenny Tallent said that he now intends to use some of the money he won to increase his 401k pension contributions. He also feels as though the money may still carry a part of the meteor’s good fortune with it, and so intends to play in this year’s World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
“And I’m hoping after this summer you’ll be interviewing me again after I win the World Series of Poker,” stated the buoyed winner.
