French Rainman Throws $30k Casino Winnings To Crowd

French Rainman Throws $30k Casino Winnings To CrowdA French casino gambler has given the people of Punta del Este in Uruguay a night they will not forget after standing on the balcony of a pub and raining down his $30,000 winnings on the people below.
Apparently, the French ‘rainman’ was celebrating his birthday in the exclusive resort located in southeast of the country, and had been drinking excessively at the Moby Dick pub, before deciding to continue his celebrating at one of the resort’s casinos.
Incredibly, the flamboyant gambler’s birthday luck seemed to be in full flow and he then proceeded to win a life changing amount of money before returning to the Moby Dick pub at 6:30 am and throwing $30,000 of his winnings from the terrace of a pub. He was subsequently there for around an hour, during which time the gathered crowd benefited from the gambler’s generosity, including a dishwasher who caught $3,000 in notes, and numerous other customers and employees who collected between $100 and $500 a piece.
At one stage, the Frenchman even took time out to light his cigar using a stack of hundred-dollar bills before continuing to rain down notes on the cheering crowd that had gathered. Ironically, when the man had finished his bizarre act of generosity, he then realized he
hadn’t any money left on him and so he had to borrow some money for the taxi ride back to his hotel.
As of yet there has been no further details to explain the gamblers eccentric behaviour, but a possible reason could be that the amount of money he won at the casino was so large he felt compelled to celebrate some of his winnings with the locals. Or perhaps whilst at the casino he made a promise to himself that if he won a huge amount he would give a certain proportion back to the community.
Either way, the good people of Punta del Este will not soon forget the day the French Rainman showed up in their town and starting showering them with money thrown from a pub’s roof terrace.
