Californian Man Wins $1.1 Million Slots Jackpot At Casino

Californian Man Wins $1.1 Million Slots Jackpot At CasinoA man from the city of Hemet in California has been toasting his incredible good fortune after hitting a $1,127,123 jackpot at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
On Thursday, George Hayes and several friends were out on a casino hopping night while celebrating the nationwide holiday of Cinco de Mayo (fifth of May), which commemorates Mexican heritage and pride.
Despite enjoying the night out, George Hayes didn’t have any winnings to show for his revelry, that is until hitting the final casino on their gambling jaunt.
After showing up at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, George Hayes apparently then walked up to a Wheel of Fortune slot before winning the life changing jackpot. As the casino spokesperson Ciara Green explains:
“George simply walked up to a one-cent Super Spin Wheel Of Fortune machine and put in $40 or $50. Not long after that, he watched five Wheel of Fortune symbols line up across the center line and knew it had to mean something big.”
Now the Californian will forever fondly remember the holiday of Cinco de Mayo after winning the slots jackpot, which coincidentally occurred on the same day as his late wife’s birthday. As George Hayes explains:
“Today is my wife’s birthday. She passed away a number of years ago. In 1985, she won a jackpot at a Las Vegas casino for $250,000, which happened to be on my birthday. Seems like it’s happened again, only the other way around.”
George Hayes’ night then ended with him being presented with a huge cardboard cheque for $1,127,123, while posing for the cameras. He also said he was still deciding on what to spend his new found wealth.
