WSOP 2010 Main Event Final Table: Schedule And Coverage
November 5, 2010 8:30 amThe waiting is nearly over as the WSOP 2010 Main Event final table gets underway tomorrow at 12pm PT on Saturday, November 6th at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The table will then play down until just two players remain, with the final heads-up phase taking place, after a Sunday break, at 8pm on the Monday.
Last year, the 2009 Main Event final table was the longest in the history of the World Series Of Poker at 17 hours and 16 minutes. Then, the nine men played on the Saturday for 14 hours and 55 minutes before the final two players returned on the Monday for a further two hours and 21 minutes and a champion was crowned.
The record prior to last year’s final was set at the WSOP 2005 Main Event final table, when Joe Hachem won the event after 14 hours and 30 minutes.
However, this year’s November Nine will not be phased by the prospect of a marathon sessions, as when the 2010 final table was set on Day 8 of the competition, the players were at it for 17-hours before the last man Brandon Steven exited in 10th for $635,011.
Back on 5th July when the tournament first got underway, each of the competitors at the 2010 WSOP Main Event initially received 30,000 in chips for their $10,000 buy-in. Now, the nine final tablists ‘s stack vary from chip leader Jonathan Duhamel on 65.975 million to short-stacked Jason Senti on 7.625 million.
With the competition resuming on 250k/500k blinds and 50k antes, there will be a tremendous amount of pressure on most of the players around the table, especially the short-stacks.
