Best Tweets from 2016 WSOP Main Event

The 2016 WSOP Main Event attracted a field of 6,737 players all seeking to capture tournament poker’s most coveted title, as well as this year’s $8 million first place prize. With Day 3 in the bag, however, just 800 hopefuls remain, who will now return to the Rio later today to continue their WSOP odysseys. In the meantime, here are some of the best tweets coming from your favorite pros who have been in action in the Main Event:

“(1) One of my worst @WSOP in the last 10 years. One final table, one 15th place, only 3 cashes and tons of “Close to cashes.” Blah. (2) my last 9 hands at 2016 @WSOP lost K9ss to A9 on AK97 board, then My KK to their AK all in pre. Sadly, seems fitting way to end my WSOP.”
Daniel Negreanu
“Busted the main event with 99 vs AQ. Stretched my chips as long as I could. Two days without cooperation from the deck and had to flip.”
Scott Seiver
“I made 5 straight WSOP day 3s. I busted 5 straight WSOP day 3s. GL to @steveodwyer @JCAlvarado1 @LeoWolpert”
David Williams
“(1) Starting WSOP main event day 3 2166/2166. Sucks to be at the bottom but imagine how fun today will be running it up!.. (2) Hand 2 got it in with A9dd vs A8o. I didn’t win. Excited for WSOP 2017”
