Top Poker Tweets from 2017 WSOP (Week 7)

Top Poker Tweets from 2017 WSOP (Week 7)Now into its eighth week, the 2017 WSOP currently underway in Las Vegas has completed all of its 74 event schedule, except the Main Event which on Day 6 narrowed its starting field of 7,221 to just 27.
One of the players eliminated was Doug Polk, who this year collected a bracelet at the $ 111,111 NLHE High Roller for One Drop for a cool $3,686,865. The 28 year old may not have cashed in at the Main Event, but he did pick up something else, though, and as he explains:
“For back to back years I get some sort of cold/flu after playing the main. I guess that shouldn’t be too surprising.”
Andy Frankenberger had to endure a bit of suffering of his own, too, by not being able to get back into the playing area for a while, and as he tweeted last Thursday:
“Thousand of people sweating in the hall, stuck. @Wsop Running late as they color up. asked security to open door to let AC through. Denied.”
In the meantime, Erik Seidel, who enjoyed little success throughout this year’s Series, returned back from a family break in the Galapagos and Peru hoping to have turned his luck around for the Main Event. Unfortunately for him, little had changed, and as he lamented before and after crashing out short of a paid spot:
“Question 4 the poker gods: Are u stringing me along all day for max torture or is there generosity in your hearts?”.. They went w the torture, the gods have to have their fun.”
Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth also saw their hopes come to a premature close on Day 2. Negreanu ended up averting a bit of trouble away from the table, though, and tweeted:
“At soccer tonight guy wants to fight me and happens to be 6′ 4” and about 245. I of course step up to the plate practicing the jail strategy.. I said “Really? You want to fight ME?” I laughed as he bumped chests with me. Also I did not fall down. Stand your ground!”
As for Phil Hellmuth, he likes nothing better than relaxing with a good book, and as he wrote recently:
I was caught reading my own book “Poker Brat” on break desk, NOW on ESPN2!!!!
To which Mike Matusow responded:
“Phil we all love you and know you’re a narcissist but this might being you to alltime heights #WSOPMainEvent”
