GSN's High Stakes Poker 6 To Air Febuary 14th

GSN's High Stakes Poker 6 To Air Febuary 14thThe sixth season of GSN’s highly popular poker show “HIGH STAKES POKER” is set to get underway on Sunday, February 14th, at 8:00 PM (ET) and will feature some of the toughest poker players in the world today, as well as welcoming its glamorous new co-presenter Kara Scott.
The series is a showpiece for the world of top level cash poker and sets a minimum buy-in of $200,000 per player. Some of the top pros making an appearance at the Golden Nugget casino in Las Vegas this time around are Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine, Doyle Brunson, Tom Dwan, Eli Elezra, Antonio Esfandiari, Barry Greenstein, Phil Hellmuth, Andreas Hoivold, Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, Dennis Phillips, and Lex Veldhuis.
A regular feature of previous “HIGH STAKES POKER” episodes was the comical and often scathing banter between its presenters Gabe Kaplan and AJ Benza. However, in a revamp of the shows previous format, Kara Scott has replaced Benza as the HSP’s co-presenter and instead takes her considerable hostessing and poker credentials away from the studio set-up and right to the action. Commenting on her role Kara said:
“GSN wanted to bring someone in to work on the floor. That person wouldn’t just be asking general interview questions. Instead, they would be someone who knew poker more deeply in order to get into the heads of the players. Obviously, it’s a completely different role than what A.J. Benza did. What A.J. did was great and I certainly couldn’t replace what he did. I’m glad they brought me in, though. It was surprising, flattering, and exciting.”
As a build up to the new series, the Game Show Network (GSN) will be  showing an eight hour “I LOVE POKER” marathon from 12:00 PM (ET) onwards and will give viewers the opportunity to catch eight of the best episodes ever seen from the previous five “HIGH STAKES POKER.”
