2 Months, $2 Million: 2 Months, $676,000

With time up for the boys from the G4 online poker reality show, their final tally reached $676,000 or only a third of the way towards their stated goal of $2 million.
The last episode began with the house up $615,900 and Emil Patel getting the better against online opponent “jiacstrap” on PokerStars to win $18,750 briefly before a torrential storm tripped out the house’s power. By the time normal functions had been restored Patel’s computer had frozen and he complained “this blackout is going to cost me $50,000.”
The next bit of online poker action was a real see-saw affair with Stern’s gains being counteracted by Roberts’ losses. Roberts dropped $93,000 to “LarsLuzak,” while Stern took on “CADX2” on Pokerstars to the tune of $71,000 of profit. Following his success Stern declared  “It felt good just to put a huge number on the board,” before heading off to celebrate the victory by purchasing a $2,000 pair of anaconda skin Nike shoes with 14 karat gold inlays.
The final tally showed Stern up $101,000, Roberts down $75,000, Patel up $34,800, and Jay Rosenkrantz even for a gain of $60,800 on the week and $676,700 for the whole show.
Despite not reaching their lofty goal of $2 million, Rosenkrantz remained optimistic about the whole venture and declared, “It’s still a respectable total.”
There’s no doubting the boys put in a good performance all round with Rosenkrantz up an impressive $406,500 throughout the 9 week series, Stern in profit $100,800, and Patel up $161,900. Roberts earning were not quite at the same level as his house mates at $7,500 up but most likely reflects the short term volatility of the game.
As of yet there is no news regarding a follow up series to the show although rumours are circulating regarding the boys returning to Las Vegas for the 2010 World Series of Poker. We will try to bring you any updates as they occur.
