WSOPC Caesars Palace Won By Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson has just won the WSOPC Caesars Palace, after overcoming a field of 496 players over three days to lift the title, and collect the $153,599 first place-prize.

However, by the time the final table of ten got underway local man Chris Johnson held a slim chip lead on a 1.6 million stack with the only recognizable name at the table being UB Poker sponsored pro “Hollywood” Dave Stann.
An hour later and less than six players then remained with Derrick Kuenzel out in 10th ($11,492), Matthew Leecy in 9th ($14,249), Dave Stann in 8th ($17,906) and Alex Santiago in 7th ($22,820).

John Kulish must have then felt unlucky to go out in 4th ($51,418), after pushing all his chips in on a A-T-9 flop holding A-10 to Jon Seaman ‘s A-9, who then spiked another nine on the turn.
However, Seaman’s celebration was short-lived after his K-J fell to the A-2 of Chris Johnson on a 9-6-3-3-4 board. eliminating Seaman in 3rd ($69,360), whilst setting-up the heads-up battle between Brian England and Chris Johnson.
Just five minutes later and it was all over after England four-bet shoved holding Ah-Jh only to run head long into Johnson’s Ad-Kd. The board then came K-J-10-9-2, thus relegating England  to the runner-up position worth $94,944, while Chris Johnson was crowned the 2011 WSOPC Caesars Palace Champion.
In total, it took 2 hours and 40 minutes for Johnson to take down his biggest score to date at the final table. In addition to the prize money he received a ticket to the upcoming National Championship also held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas on May 27th.
